According to the police, the girl from Balana in Mahendragarh had a love marriage with Deepak, a resident of Khatade, three months ago, after which the girl had been staying in her in-laws' house. The girl's family members reached her in-laws' house. On two Boleros and two motorcycles, the girl's family members, maternal uncle and others had arrived. They started taking away the young woman so the in-laws tried to stop her. On this, the girl's family opened fire. The mother-in-law Suman of the girl got hit in the leg. After that, they took the girl away. After this incident, the in-laws of the girl's in-laws filed a case under other sections including the kidnapping of the girl.

ASP Siddharth Jain said that the police team of Thana Sadar Mahendragarh received information that there was firing in Khatod village and the accused had picked up a woman who opened fire. When the police investigated the case, it was found that some people attacked with weapons in Khatod village and injured one of them. A young woman has been picked up with it. The police registered a case and initiated action. Taking cognizance of the case of firing and injuring the woman in Mahendragarh Khatod village and the kidnapping of the woman, Superintendent of Police Chandramohan gave strict instructions to the police to trace the woman with immediate effect. The Sadar police station, Mahendragarh, acting on a tip-off, recovered the woman from the Kishangarh area of Rajasthan within 24 hours.
