Jaipur: A MIG-21 fighter jet fell victim to an accident in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan today i.e. on Monday (May 8) morning. The fighter jet fell on a house in Bahlol Nagar area. 3 women lost their lives in this tragic accident. Police has informed that the pilot is safe. After the accident, a large number of villagers have gathered on the spot.

At the same time, the Indian Air Force has informed that the MIG-21 was on a training flight and crashed near Sutargarh. The pilot has received minor injuries. The investigation of the accident has been started. Basho Kaur (45) wife Ratan Singh alias Ratiram Rai Sikh, Banto (60) wife Lal Singh Rai Singh and Leela Devi (55) wife Ram Pratap have lost their lives in the fighter jet crash. Pilot Rahul Arora (25) somehow saved his life by jumping with a parachute. At present the pilot has been sent to Suratgarh.

On 28 July 2022, a MiG-21 Bison (trainer aircraft) crashed in Barmer, Rajasthan itself. It caught fire and the debris was scattered in a radius of about half a kilometer. Both the pilots aboard the aircraft attained martyrdom in the accident. Where the plane fell, there was a huge crater within a radius of 15 feet.
