Amritsar: There has been a blast again on Monday morning in Heritage Street near the Golden Temple. However, it was claimed that it was another minor explosion. The surprising thing is that on Monday, the explosion took place at the same place where the news of the blast was also heard a day earlier on Sunday. Due to Monday morning, there was no casualty in this blast. While six people have been injured due to the explosion that took place in the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. Police say that the blast took place almost at the same place as the earlier explosion, which was said to have happened in the chimney of a restaurant on Heritage Street.

Police reluctant to respond: Senior police officers, bomb disposal squad and forensic teams have reached the spot. However, the police have started shying away from giving any information about both the blasts. Local residents of the area say that there was a loud explosion at around 6.30 am on Monday morning.

Search in Green Belt and Sewerage: Sources have said that intensive searches are also being done in Green Belt, Sewerage Line etc. in case of any suspicious object being hidden. Police has also closed one side of the road for uninterrupted search operation.

Denial of terrorist attack: 6 people have been injured in the explosion that took place at Heritage Street near the Golden Temple on Saturday midnight, which has spread panic in the area. However, the police said that it was not a terrorist attack but an accident.

Police advisory: Injuries were caused by window panes of nearby buildings being blown out by the impact of the blast. Amritsar Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh tweeted, "The facts of the incidents are also being processed and there is no need to panic." Citizens are urged to maintain peace and harmony.
