Udaipur: Hindu organisations are now coming together to protest against the brutal killing of Hindu Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur in Rajasthan and Umesh Kolhe in Amravati in Maharashtra over the alleged statement of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma. In this episode, a pali bandh has been called by the Sarva Hindu Samaj on Wednesday (July 6, 2022). Thousands of Hindus took out a rally at Surajpole crossroads in Pali district and reached the collectorate.  

According to the report, about 4-5 thousand people participated in this rally. During the rally, the collective Hanuman Chalisa was recited five times under the leadership of Sant SurjanDas, Sant Om Maharaj, 72 feet Balaji, Sant Parshuram and Sant Ramvichar. On this occasion, the saints have accused the Congress party of protecting those who committed Islamic killings. The people who attended the rally were carrying placards in their hands. It was written, "Will not tolerate terror, all Hindus will remain one." Along with that, people also chanted Jai Shri Ram. The saints met DM Namit Mehta and handed over a memorandum to the President at the collectorate. Earlier on Tuesday, more than 850 people from 65 societies were present at the Sarva Samaj meeting. At the same time, the bandh was supported by the Bar Association, Transport Association and Pali District Chemists Association.

The memorandum to the President demands dismissal of the Gehlot government in the Hindu community and imposition of President's Rule in the state, banning of PFI, providing compensation and security to the family of the deceased, action against anti-national elements and hanging of those who committed incidents like Udaipur-Amravati.
