Jaisalmer: The lockdown was announced in the state till 31 March by state CM Ashok Gehlot regarding the prevention of coronavirus. After this, the district administration and the police department are looking at the alert mode regarding the lockdown in the border district Jaisalmer. Section 144 has been enforced in the district with immediate effect and a ban has been imposed on the gathering of 5 or more people. Public programs in which the crowd has gathered, it has been banned.

District Collector Namit Mehta told during the press conference that there is a complete lockdown in the district and no shops or establishments, except the essential services, should remain open till March 31, it is being ensured. The police are constantly patrolling the urban and rural areas and explaining to the people and ensuring lockdown is being ensured.

District Collector Mehta has informed that during the lockdown, the control room has been set up in the Collector Office, each Subdivision Office, District Health Office and Transport Office, from where anyone has to take or give any information related to Corona.
