Jaipur: In Rajasthan, now the infection of the new variant of Corona, Omicron, is becoming frightening. A person from Udaipur, the city of lakes, has died due to this new variant of Corona. Here a 75-year-old elderly person has lost his life due to Omicron infection. According to the information, the elderly was undergoing treatment at Maharana Bhupal Hospital in Udaipur.

His corona test report came negative a day earlier. On 15 December, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment after his health deteriorated. The corona test of the elderly was done when his health deteriorated. In which he was found corona infected. After this, the sample was sent to the Pune lab for genome sequencing. After this Omicron's infection was found in him. However, later his corona test report also turned negative. In such a situation, the death of the elderly has put the health department officials in trouble.

To counter the spread of Omicron, some states have implemented night curfews and other COVID-related restrictions. As of Wednesday morning, 781 new cases of the Omicron variant have been detected across the country. By the end of the night, the number of patients infected with this virus had increased to 911.
