Jaipur: A video is going viral on social media. The video has emerged from the Bundi district of Rajasthan. In the video, some people are seen threatening the principal over the inclusion of Urdu as a third language in the school. Not only this, but if Urdu is not included, these people are also threatening to lock the school. The case is being reported from Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English medium) at Alod village under the Bundi district.

The case dates back to Thursday (July 21, 2022). On the matter, the principal of the school said that a complaint in this regard has not yet been lodged by the school. She said after the video went viral, they are getting calls from the police and maybe they (police) are taking action on their behalf. The principal said that she did not give a complaint to the police because then she also had the apprehension of something happening. The principal says that she has to work in this village still, so she does not want to get into all this mess. She said that the language of the threateners was so intense that they did not want to listen to anyone, they just kept on saying their point. The principal has been working in this school since January 2020. She said the threateners were threatening them and demanding to teach Urdu in the school. On this, the principal says the order came from above. If there is an order to implement Urdu from above, she will do it, but at the moment she will not be able to do so.

Let me tell you that this is a senior secondary school. In which English medium is taught from 1st to 8th standard. Apart from this, the principal also informed that from 9th to 12th standard, Sanskrit, as well as Urdu, are also taught. In 9th and 10th, Urdu is compulsory, while in 11th and 12th, this language is optional. Separate arrangements have been made for both of them in the school. The Rajasthan Police Help Desk has ordered the Bundi police to investigate the case and ensure necessary legal action.
