NEW DELHI: Manavadityasingh Rathore, son of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, a BJP MP from Jaipur village and a minister in the Modi government's first term, showed a feat in the shooting. His father was also a shooter. In the 18th Rajasthan Open Shooting Championships, the Men's Team bagged a total of 4 medals, including 3 gold medals, in different categories. He won Gold in Trap Junior, Double Trap Senior, and Junior. In the Senior Trap, he was equal to Gold winner Adhiraj Singh Rathore, but he got a silver medal due to the countback rule.

The competition was held at Jagatpura Shooting Range in Jaipur. Rajvardhan Singh Rathore has also been the champion in Shooting. He won the Silver medal in the double trap event at the 2004 Athens Olympics. By that time, it was the best performance of any Indian in the Olympics in person. Later in 2008, Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal.

Earlier, Manavaditya had also won a gold medal in Khelo India at the beginning of the year. He had hit gold in the Under-21 Trap Shooting.
