There were rumors that Rajinikanth had approached director Karthik Subbaraj and asked him to direct a film for his son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi, who recently tied the knot with Soundarya Rajinikanth. It is no secret that Vishagan is already an actor who made his acting debut in 2018 with Tamil thriller Vanjagar Ulagam. However, the film could not create any magic at the box office, and apparently, Vishagan decided to go with his own business.

According to reports, Rajinikanth suggested director Karthik Subbaraj to direct a film for his son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi. Now, when a Tamil daily asked about the rumors to Karthik Subbaraj, the director has said that there is not even one percent truth to the reports. He said, Rajinikanth has not made any such request and that he is busy shooting for his upcoming film with Dhanush. Vishagan Vanangamudi tied the knot with Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya earlier this year in February. Their grand wedding took place in Chennai which was attended by the who’s who from the South Indian film industry.
Superstar is currently working on a film called Darbar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. The film has Nayanthara in the lead female role and it is set in Mumbai. Yogi Babu has also joined the sets of the film. Many pics from the sets of the film have leaked online.
