Follwing a Kaala row Protests against Rajinikanth's film broke out in Karnataka and screening stopped at Bengaluru theatre.

 ‘Thaliva’ Rajinikanth-starrer much-awaited gangster drama, Kaala, is listed to hit the silver screen in the cinemas today. However, owing to the Tamil superstar’s statement on the Cauvery river water row, the film courted controversies and hence, wouldn’t have a flat release in Karnataka in all odds. Certain film distributors and exhibitors in Karnataka are sadden with Rajinikanth’s stand on the row .Karnataka Rakshana Vedike embarked on its protests against Kaala early Thursday morning in several parts of the state. The organization had given a call to the makers that if the film was screened, they will go ahead and stop its screening.

According to the news, the protesters have stopped the screening at Sri Balaji Theatre in Vivek Nagar in Bengaluru. The members of the tassel group are reportedly meeting other theater owners in the state and convincing them to close down the releasing of Kaala.

The protesters have warned the theater owners and the police that if any tickets of the film are sold, they will turn the protest in violence. Concequentially Rajinikanth fans who are flocking to the theaters are being sent back to their homes.
