For few times, the makers are looking for a perfect actor to cast opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan. The names of R Madhavan, Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal popped up but finally Rajkummar bagged the role.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the one producers of Fanney Khan wrote on Twitter, "#FanneyKhan @AnilKapoor @RajkummarRao @divyadutta25 @TSeries @kriarj #Ash welcome aboard Raj tighten your seat belt for the roller coaster."

Rajkummar told to the daily, "I am super-excited to be working with her (Aishwarya). I’ll start preparing for my part in Fanney Khan the moment I am done shooting for my film on Subhash Chandra Bose."

This is the first time when Aishwarya and Rajkummar are coming together. The film has already went on floors on September 3.
