New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a big statement at an event on Monday, saying India has no intention of ruling the world. Rajnath Singh said this while talking about a comment by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Talking about the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Rajnath Singh said, "I am reminded of one thing Putin said some time ago. You all know that Russia is a technologically advanced country. Russia has gradually moved forward in the field of science and technology.'' On Artificial Intelligence, the Russian President once said, "Whoever dominates this region (AI) will rule the world."

Rajnath Singh further said, "Given the way this sector is growing, this possibility cannot be ruled out. But, at the same time, I also want to add that India does not want to rule the world. India has always given the same message – the whole world is one family. We never had the aim of conquering the world. But at the same time, we have to further strengthen AI technology in India so that no other country can dominate us.''

The Defence Minister was addressing an event on 'Artificial Intelligence in Defence' in New Delhi. Speaking on the use of Artificial Intelligence in the Army, Rajnath Singh said, "Many DRDO Industry Academy Centres have been set up all over the country. Special attention has been paid to Artificial Intelligence in these centres. Similarly, many such efforts are being made by the defence sector to promote AI apps. The development of Artificial Intelligence is very important for human civilization. By developing it, man has proved his superiority. Artificial intelligence is a revolutionary step in the development of humanity.''
