New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will open a seven-story structure in Bengaluru on Thursday for the homegrown fifth-generation fighter aircraft programme, which was built in 45 days.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has completed a seven-story structure in Bengaluru employing In-House Developed Hybrid Technology, which will be utilised as research and development facilities for the indigenous development of fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA).

The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADEFlight)'s Control System (FCS) Complex is a seven-story structure with a plinth area of 1.3 lakh square feet. The DRDO has completed the construction of a multi-story (G+6) Flight Control System infrastructure at ADE Bengaluru using in-house developed Hybrid technology that combines conventional, pre-engineered, and precast methodologies.

"The building will be used for the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) Bengaluru's development of avionics for fighter aircraft and the Flight Control System (FCS) for AMCA. Inside the structure, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is due to be given a presentation on the project "Officials from the DRDO stated.

He stated that in order to support the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) Bengaluru's R&D activities in developing Avionics for Fighter Aircrafts and Flight Control System (FCS) for Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), it was decided to provide necessary state-of-the-art infrastructure using composite construction technology in the shortest possible time frame of 45 days.
