Chennai: South superstar Rajinikanth will announce his party before the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. Rajinikanth tweeted on Thursday that he will form his political party in January and a related announcement will be made on the last day of December 31, 2020. Earlier, Rajinikanth also announced the start of his political journey on 31 December (2017).
Earlier, Rajinikanth had a meeting with his political advisor on Wednesday. His advisor Thamizharuvi Maniyan said, "I cannot tell what we have talked about. Only he (Rajinikanth) can tell whether he will come in politics or not. I have asked them to take care of their health." Rajinikanth held a meeting with his district secretaries on December 30 but did not take any decision on starting a political inning. During the meeting, superstar Rajinikanth said that he will announce his decision as soon as possible.
The election of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is proposed in 2021. Actor Rajinikanth had announced that 60-65% of his party's candidates would be 45-50 years of age. The remaining seats will go to good people, professionals, judges and former IAS officers in other parties.
