One of the most loved comedians Raju Srivastava has passed away at the age of 58. The comedian took his last breath at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Raju was admitted to AIIMS after he had a heart attack on August 10. According to the source, "He was doing his routine exercise and while he was on the treadmill, he suddenly fell down. He suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to the AIIMS hospital.” Raju Srivastav was in the hospital for more than a month and now the veteran comedian passes away.
Raju Srivastav is famous for pointing out different issues with his comedy. Once Comedian Raju Shrivastav received threatening calls from Pakistan warning him not to crack jokes on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. At that time Raju’s manager gave information about the issue and said, "The person warned Raju over phone that he would loose his life if he continues to crack jokes against Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan."
He further added, "Initially we thought they were just pranking calls, but since the last 25 days about 10 threatening calls have been received. Crime Branch officials seem to have tapped the calls and they themselves approached us and provided security to Shrivastav."
Raju Srivastav has featured in various Hindi films such as "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Baazigar", "Bombay to Goa" (remake) and "Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya". He was one of the contestants on "Bigg Boss" season three. He was the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
