AHMEDABAD: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait is leading the farmer movement against the agricultural laws brought by the central government. Rakesh Tikait of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has been in the news for quite some time, and now he has announced that he will also visit Gujarat to intensify the fight against agricultural laws. Rakesh Tikait said on Sunday that many farmers from Gujarat, Maharashtra have been a part of the ongoing agitation on the Delhi border. In such a situation, now they will go to these states and try to strengthen the farmers' movement.

Criticizing the new agricultural laws, Rakesh Tikait said that the new laws are not going to benefit the farmers, today the milk which gets Rs 20-22 per liter in the village is sold at Rs 50 per liter in the same cities. Similarly, if the farming will come in the hands of private companies, then the prices of crops will also be determined in the same way. Farmers from Gujarat handed over a charkha to Rakesh Tikait on Sunday. Rakesh Tikait said that by driving the spinning wheel, Gandhiji drove the British out, we will also send the companies out by running the spinning wheel. We will go to Gujarat and collect farmers.

It has been almost 3 months since the farmers' movement on the borders of Delhi. For the past few days now, farmer maha panchayat is being organized in different parts of the country. After UP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, now this echo has also reached Bengal. Along with this, now Rakesh Tikait has talked about holding similar meetings in Gujarat, Maharashtra.
