Ayodhya: The construction of the sanctum sanctorum of Ayodhya's Ram Temple has been completed, and the consecration of Ram Lalla is slated to take place between January 16 and 24, following Makar Sankranti. This announcement was made by a senior official from the temple trust, as per reports.

Ram Lalla's consecration will unfold once the first floor of the temple is fully constructed, according to Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust. During his visit to Ayodhya on Sunday, Rai engaged with saints and seers to provide them with updates on the temple's progress. He also extended a heartfelt invitation to join the 10-day Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

Rai expressed the imminent realization of the aspirations held by millions of devoted followers of Lord Ram. After enduring years of controversy, the enshrinement of Ram Lalla within the magnificent temple in Ayodhya will soon become a reality. Rai stated, "The idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated in the temple's sanctum sanctorum on a date between January 16 and 24, 2024, after Makar Sankranti."

He also highlighted that substantial progress, approximately 80 percent, has been achieved in constructing the roof of the temple's first floor. The formal consecration of the temple will be conducted after the completion of the first-floor construction. Rai reassured that the ongoing construction activities will proceed seamlessly alongside the devotees' darshan at the temple, causing no disruptions.

Presently, verbal invitations are being extended to saints and seers, with official invitations scheduled for issuance in November. The forthcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony aims to unite seers from diverse traditions across the nation. Mahant Ravindra Puri, President of Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad, emphasized the invitation to all saints, seers, and devotees of Lord Ram to participate in this consecration event. Puri also expressed his hope for Narendra Modi's triumph in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections and his continued leadership as Prime Minister to guide India's journey of development.
