Let us tell that Ramanand Sagar was born on 29 December 1917 in Lahore. Her name at birth was Chandramouli. His grandfather had come from Peshawar and settled in Kashmir along with his family. Slowly he became the city's city-seth. When Ramanand was 5 years old, his mother died. Ramanand Sagar was adopted by his childless maternal uncle at an early age. Here his name was changed from Chandramouli to Ramanand Sagar. Despite being in maternal uncle's house, his childhood was full of difficulties.

He was very fond of reading and writing. At the age of 16, he wrote his first book - Pritam Waita. In those days Ramananda used to do small things to bear the cost of his studies. They have done everything from peons to selling soaps. He has even worked as a helper and truck cleaner in the goldsmith's shop. He used to invest all the money he collected from these petty activities in his studies. Ramananda fulfilled his passion for reading the same and then got a degree. Ramanand Sagar was an expert in writing. Since he spent his childhood in difficulties, his stories and stories show his pain in the long run.
