In Doordarshan's serial 'Ramayana', Ram and Lakshmana are killing all the sons of Ravana one after the other. Along with this, Rama-Laxman has killed Devantaka, Narantaka, Trishara and Atikeya. After this Ravana gets nervous. But Meghnath Indrajit, the son of Ravana, comes forward and takes permission from the father to go to the battlefield. The latest episode shows Mandodari informing Indrajit's wife Sulochana to prevent her husband from entering the battlefield. Mandodari knows that this war is against unrighteousness, so she is scared of defeat. Sita realizes that all four sons of Ravana have been killed and Meghnath is about to go to war. Sita is certain that Meghnath is also going to be the victim of death at the hands of Rama.

On the second day, Meghnath prepares for war, but after seeing his wife worried, he falls into thinking. He explains to his wife. Meghnath feels that he is going to return victorious. Mandodari reaches there and blesses her son for victory. After this, Meghnath worships Kuldevi and arrives for war with weapons. Rama, Lakshmana and Vibhishan find out that Indrajit Meghnath is about to come to war. Meanwhile, Vibhishan tells Ram how Indrajit was named Meghnath and how many powers he has. Vibhishan also tells how difficult it is to defeat Indrajit Meghnath as he has got magical powers from Shukracharya. Simultaneously Meghnath, meanwhile, arrives to fight Ram-Lakshman and he first encounters Sugriv. Sugriv challenges Meghnath and says that he must face him before reaching Ram-Lakshman. But Sugriv starts losing to Meghnath, then his son Angad descends to support him. However soon Angad also starts to get battered. Vibhishan advises Lakshman that he should come to fight when Meghnath gets tired.

But Lakshman gets angry and furious. Ram advises Lakshman to be cautious while fighting Meghnath. By the time Lakshman reaches to fight Meghnath, Hanuman takes over the front but he also starts losing. Lakshman arrives and fights with Meghnath. Lakshman is quite surprised. On the other hand, Meghnath kills a lot of soldiers with his dangerous arrows. However, Hanuman arrives to stop the damage but Meghanath shoots one arrow after another. Meanwhile, Vibhishan tells Ram how Meghnath's powers increase fourfold after sunset. After this, Rama also comes to support Lakshman. But Meghnath disappears. Ram-Lakshman can only see the bow and arrow of Meghnath. Before he can do anything, Meghnath grabs Ram-Lakshmana in Nagpash. After this, both Sugriv and Hanuman come forward to save the brothers.
