National channel Doordarshan's famous mythological serial Ramayana is being telecast again on Star Plus. Viewers are very fond of this serial. Actor Sunil Lahiri, who plays Laxman in the Ramayana serial, keeps telling stories related to the shooting of this serial to the fans. This time he told about the shooting of the scene of Lord Hanuman when he makes Ram-Laxman sit on his shoulder and cross the sea. Sunil has shared a video of himself on his official Twitter account. In this video, he narrated the scenes of Hanuman, Rama and Laxman. He said in the video, 'I had to face a lot of problems while shooting this scene. It was very difficult to shoot that scene and it required special afts and at that time we had only chroma.'

He added, "Despite this, Sagar ji went on doing as he was told." Sunil Lahiri further said in the video, "Sagar ji used to smile when we looked at Rama and asked him to smile, when he looked down and looked nervous. We used to get scared when we looked down. We did this scene according to Sagar ji's giddiness. We could not understand how this was happening, but when we saw the final result, we were stunned. The scene was a very good shoot". Before this, Lahiri talked about actor Arvind who played Ravana in the Ramayana serial. He had said, 'When Arvind Bhai i.e. Ravana came on the set of Ramayana, I thought that he would be such a guest because I did not know him personally till then. I was a little disappointed when I came to know that he had come for the role of Ravana.'

He further said, "I thought Ravana is a big and proud character. Arvind Bhai would not know how to do it, but when he came wearing make-up and costume, I was so happy to see him that I cannot tell you." Sunil Lahiri further said, 'Arvind Trivedi had a completely different personality and there was a lot of pride on his face in Ravana's getup. Then I thought I would go to the set once and watch his shoot. The song Abhinandan was on his entry and the way he entered it was worth watching. It was felt like Ravan. Later I came to know that he is a very big superstar of Gujarati films." The Ramayana serial directed by Ramanand Sagar aired in 1987 for the first time on the national channel Doordarshan.
