Kathmandu [Nepal] May 11 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Janakpur airport on Friday to embark on a two -day visit to Nepal.

PM Modi in his press address, at the launch of bus service between Janakpur-Ayodhya, in Janakpur Nepal assured that India and Nepal will work towards building 'Ramayan' circuit between both the countries. This will act as foundation for strong people to people contact between the two nations.

Ramayana Circuit is an initiative undertaken by the Indian Ministry of Tourism to assist and promote religious tourism.

“Today's welcome in Nepal shows the affection the people of Nepal have towards the people of India. Janakpur and Ayodhya are being connected. This is a historic moment “,  PM Modi expressed his gratitude towards the people of Nepal.

PM Narendra Modi's 2-day visit to Nepal is seen as an attempt by both the countries to re-establish normalcy in India-Nepal ties.

PM Modi visited Ram Janaki temple in Janakpur in the Mithila region of Nepal with Nepalese PM KP Oli .

He was warmly welcomed by various dignitaries of Nepal. Various local artists of the Himalyeen country received Prime Minister as they showered flowers upon him.

Prime Minister is further scheduled to kick off a new bus service named Janakpur-Ayodha bus (TBC) .
