Lalita was born on 18 April 1916 in the house of Lakshmanrao Sagun, a wealthy businessman in Nashik. But her birthplace is considered to be Indore. She worked in a silent film as a child artist. The name of this film was 'Petit Uddhar'. She used to get a monthly salary of only Rs 18 for the film. He suffered an eye injury due to an accident during the shooting of a scene on the set of the film 'Jung-e-Azadi' in 1942. With this, his dream of becoming a heroine broke forever. Famous actor Bhagwan Dada of the 80s had to slap actress Lalita Pawar in this scene. Apart from this, the slap was so strong that Lalita Pawar fell there and blood started flowing from her ear. Apart from this, treatment started on the set immediately. At the same time, Lalita Pawar's right body was paralyzed in the result of any wrong medicine given by the doctor during this treatment.

Due to paralysis, her right eye shrank completely and her appearance deteriorated forever. At the same time, Lalita Pawar was seen in the role of vamp only after the loss of one eye. By the way, very few people know that Lalita Pawar was also a good singer. Along with this, in the 1935 film 'Himmte Mardan', she sang 'Pyaar Gulab Rahe Mein Neil Abha Mein Pyare Gulab Rahe Mein Dil'. In 1990, Lalita Pawar had jaw cancer. With this, not only did she lose weight due to cancer, but her memory also started getting weak due to which he died. On 24 February 1998, she said goodbye to the world.
