Patna: Bihar RJD leader and Education Minister Chandrashekhar recently made derogatory remarks about the Holy Book of Hindus, Ramcharitmanas, after which there were a lot of ruckuses. After this, now Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MLC Swami Prasad Maurya has also spewed venom about Ramcharitmanas. 

Swami Prasad said that whatever be the religion, we respect it. But in the name of religion, the work of insulting a particular caste, or class has been done, and we object to it. Speaking to the media, SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya said that many crore people do not read Ramcharitmanas, everything is nonsense. Tulsidas has written it for his happiness. Swami Prasad Maurya did not stop here, he further said that the government should take cognizance of this and remove the objectionable part of Ramcharitmanas or ban this entire book.

Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya claimed that there are some parts in Tulsidas's Ramcharitmanas, to which we have objections. Because in any religion, no one has the right to abuse. Tulsidas's Ramayana has a chaupai, in this, he is giving certificates to the Shudras for being from the upper caste.
