All 30 cases filed against migrant workers in Jharkhand during the covid-19 epidemic for violation of the lockdown provisions will be withdrawn. The official spokesman said here that CM Hemant Soren has approved the proposal of the Council of Ministers to withdraw the FIR / prosecution lodged against the migrant workers. He said that in the light of the directive passed by the Supreme Court in this case, the process of withdrawing the FIR prosecution filed against the migrant workers for the lockdown violation has been initiated.

He said that a total of 30 FIRs have been registered in the entire state for lockdown violation by migrant workers in which 204 workers have been accused. In this, an FIR is registered against 32 laborers in Silli police station of Ranchi. At the same time, 15 FIRs have been lodged in various police stations in Lohardaga district, two FIRs in Simdega district, one FIR in Jamshedpur, five FIRs in Chaibasa, one FIR in Dumka, four FIRs in Sahibganj district and one FIR in Pakur district. In fact, after the first lockdown in March, workers from every part of the country were returning to their respective home states on foot. While leaving the residence during this time there was a ban. This is the reason that cases have been registered against those workers

In such a situation, the State Government announced to provide employment at the residence to the workers and started many schemes.
