New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate today in the National Herald case. However, before that the party's national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has targeted the BJP over the National Herald newspaper. In fact, recently he said that, 'When the National Herald newspaper faced a serious debt crisis and the workers working hard to run the newspaper were not getting their salaries, the Congress party spent ten years from 2002 to 2011. I did the work of saving the heritage of the country by giving 90 crore rupees to this institution.

In fact, he said that Congress is a political party and a political party cannot buy stake in any company. So we gave shares of National Herald and Associated Journals Limited to a non-profit company by the name of Young Indian, so that the debt of 90 crores could be cleared. Modi ji, you can laugh as much as you want or prosecute. Crores of Congress workers will continue to raise the voice of the people like this. Along with this, the Congress spokesperson also said that we will continue to expose you on inflation, unemployment and loot of government resources. This is Congress and this is our religion. We will tell the government, which has been stunned by its failures, that we were determined yesterday, are today and will be tomorrow to preserve this national heritage. With this, he said that these false cases of yours are nothing more than monkeys for us.

Apart from this, Surjewala further said that, 'Modi ji, you and your election management department are well aware that no Congress party or Congress leader has ever taken even a false chavanni of National Herald and Young Indian. This is a draft of trust, which is the heritage of Congress and the country. Out of 90 crores, 67 crores were given for the salary and VRS of the employees and the rest was paid for the dues of the government, electricity bills and building. How can this be a crime? This is a sense of duty.
