Farahan Akhtar's Don 3 has been in headlines recently. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that third instalment is coming and Farhan currently working on the script. After it is in rumour that Shah Rukh Khan will not be seen in Don 3 his fans are very disappointed. First both parts done by Shah Rukh Khan and won everyones heart with his performance. Acccording to latest report it is suggests that Ranveer Singh might replace Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3.

The third installment's main character will probably be played by Ranveer. The actor has previously worked with Farhan and Ritesh's production company and appeared in movies like Gully Boy and Dil Dhadakne Do. The source stated that "Following Shah Rukh’s exit, the makers of Don 3 were looking for a popular and bankable name who could take the Don legacy ahead. And they have finally zeroed in on Ranveer. This association has borne fruit in the past and it will be no surprise if the collaboration proves to be another runway hit. We’re waiting to see how fans of the Don franchise react to Ranveer’s casting considering Shah Rukh won over everyone with his charismatic portrayal of Don."

The first version of Don was released in 2006, with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas reprising their roles in the sequel, which was published in 2011. Farhan Akhtar directed both film.
