John Abraham starrer Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) has hit the theatre today. The espionage action thriller opened to lukewarm response at the box-office. According to the reports, registered 10 to 15 per cent occupancy in morning shows on Day 1, which, by all means, is an underwhelming start.

It is expected that the first-weekend total of RAW will now largely be decided by its performance on Satuday and Sunday. The report in question, however, says that action thriller films are not known for growing over the weekend.

John’s last release Satyameva Jayate, an Independence Day release, had seen a mammoth start at Rs 19.50 crore. It’s the actor’s highest-opening film ever. Most of his other films, his solo releases in particular, have opened in the range of Rs 5 crore-Rs 6 crore. For example, his second-last release Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran had collected Rs 4.82 crore on its maiden day.
