Real Betis captain Joaquin Sanchez took the world record as soon as he scored a hat-trick against Athletic Bilbao. Betis defeated Bilbao 3–2 thanks to Sanchez's superb performance in the Spanish Football League 'La Liga' on Sunday, who has now become the oldest footballer to score a hat-trick in the history of the tournament. He achieved this feat at the age of 38 years and 140 days. With the first hat-trick of his career, Joaquin also broke the 55-year-old record of Alfredo di Stefano of Rial Madrid.
