Madrid: Real Madrid climbed to the top of the La Liga table with a 4-1 victory against Granada in an away match on Sunday.
Real Madrid's Marco Asensio, Nacho Fernandez, Vinicius Junior, and Ferland Mendy each scored a goal, while Granada's attacker Luis Suarez scored the lone goal. Los Blancos put in a strong performance at Los Carmenes, picking up all three points and moving to the top of the table. Granada's Suarez scored to tie the game at 2-2, but Los Blancos reasserted their dominance after Vinicius' goal.
Real Madrid dominated Granada at the Estadio Nuevo de Los Carmenes, showing no signs of rust after the international break. Real Madrid (30 points) returns to the top of the LaLiga table, two points ahead of Sevilla and Real Sociedad.
Nacho was chosen at center-back alongside David Alaba by manager Carlo Ancelotti, while Asensio was chosen in attack alongside Karim Benzema and Vinicius. Ancelotti's gamble paid off almost immediately, as Asensio scored the game's first goal after collecting a pinpoint ball from Toni Kroos and outracing Granada defender German Sanchez before blasting into the net.
