MasterChef India winner of season 3 Ripudaman Handa reveals some of the unrevealed facts about the cooking reality shows. Ripu in an interview to a popular portal reveals some of them.

Ripudaman confesses about the show MasterChef India,"Unlike what’s shown on TV, we do get time to think about the dish we will be preparing. There is a time lap post we have prepared the dishes to the time it gets tasted by the judges."

"Although we see only about a couple of rounds of auditions on TV, there are numerous tests that we have to pass before getting selected. I personally went through six auditions. Also contestants go through a lot of emotional challenges and there are times when one gets quite conscious in front of the camera."

"Unlike what’s shown on TV, participants prepare two plates, of the exact quantity, presentation and taste. While one is tasted off camera by judges and other chefs, one is for the actual shoot infront of the camera.

All the contestants get to stay in the same apartment and spend time together. It is a very different experience. We shoot for three days, and then work on the VDs (video diaries) and then chill for the other days."

"There are people who are so studious who spend their entire time reading cookery books. But it’s a fun time together."

Reality check prepares for reality before presenting to audience.
