Dehradun: Do you know that in the days of the incidents happening in the country today, an atmosphere of panic has been created across the country, whereas the cause of road accidents happening in Dehradun district is neither sleep nor intoxication. The sharp turn of the road also gives rise to only a couple of accidents. Most of the lives in the district are dying at high speed. This reason has been revealed in the report prepared by the Road Safety Committee on short-term accidents. In two months, 80 percent of the accidents have happened due to high speed and negligence.

According to the information received from the sources, let us tell you that District Collector Road Safety Committee Chairman, Additional District Magistrate Administration Ramji Sharan Sharma told that he has prepared a report of the accidents of the last two months. Between this, there were 57 accidents. 45 of which have been the cause of accidents and negligence in driving. Whereas, only one road accident has occurred due to intoxication.

It is being said that apart from this, the sharp turn has caused only one accident. He told that wherever there are black spots on the roads, a report is being prepared. Soon the committee is going to take a big decision here. To curb the speed, officials of Transport Department and other departments have also been asked to make a report.
