LOS ANGELES:  Meghan Markle revealed the discomfort she experienced while working as an actor in Hollywood in a candid cover story for "Variety."

Before securing her iconic role as Rachel Zane on the television legal drama "Suits" in 2011, Markle appeared on shows like "Deal or No Deal," "90210," and "Fringe." Meghan would appear in more than 108 episodes of the series ('Suits' aired from 2011 to 2019), but throughout the first season she was continually doubting her place on the programme due to her anxiousness.

When asked about the toxic environment in Hollywood while she was an actor, Meghan told "Variety": "At the time, we didn't have a word for it. Just a few things were generally accepted. You simply put up with any discomfort if it existed. Many women were compelled to live with the idea of remaining silent, not being obtrusive, and refraining from voicing any concerns or uncomfortable feelings." She went on to talk about how difficult it was for her to get a reliable employment. For herself, she stated, "I had tried for so long to land on a programme, recording all these pilots, wondering if they would get picked up."

"For the entirety of Season 1 of "Suits," I believed my role would be changed. All the time. When the creator finally asked, "Why are you so concerned about this?" "In Meghan's memory.
