KALABURAGI: Karnataka Chief  Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Tuesday that a recruitment procedure for 14,000 positions in the Kalyana Karnataka region would begin.

He told reporters at Kalaburagi airport that financial approval had been given to fill 14,000 vacancies in various departments in the Kalyana Karnataka region, including 5,000 in the Education department.

He added that full-time officers would be posted to the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB) in response to a question on the KKRDB. In the next two days, the Board will be formed. For the Board, a 3,000-crore action plan has been drafted, and a decision will be made soon.

Later that evening, a high-level meeting comprising the Task Force and members of the expert committee will be held to discuss the Covid problem. Covid instances are on the rise all across the world, even in our neighbouring states. To control the spread, border districts have implemented tight preventative measures. "In the following days, long-term measures for Covid control must be drawn up," Bommai stated.

Medical infrastructure has been augmented, according to instructions. Additional beds, ICU facilities, oxygen supplies, and an appropriate store of medicines have all been made, he said. He noted that if a school vacation is declared, it will be chosen based on expert recommendations.
