Patna: Two months ago, the Revenue Department of the Bihar government had issued an advertisement for direct appointment to 10,101 posts of Amin, Kanungo, Assistant Settlement Officer, and Special Survey Clerk for land survey work, and applications were invited, but now the state government has suddenly postponed the process of appointment to all the posts.

According to the news, the advertisement issued by the government for appointment to 10,101 posts has also been canceled. Recently, the Bihar Cabinet approved the new rules of appointment, after which the Revenue Department has canceled the process of appointment to these posts. Now, it has been decided to initiate the appointment process as per the new rules.

According to the new rules, the appointment to all these posts will have to take a competitive examination which will now be conducted by the Bihar Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE). BCECE will soon issue advertisements for appointments to these posts in which eligible candidates will be able to apply and then there will be a competitive examination. Candidates will be selected for appointment on the basis of merit. It is worth mentioning that the Revenue Department has appointed 355 Assistant Settlement Officers, 758 Kanungo, 8244 Amin, and 744 Clerical posts for land survey. According to the advertisement released by the Revenue Department recently, the employment of candidates was scheduled till March 31, 2024. For this, between October 21 and November 16, the department had also invited online applications on the portal and the candidate was to be selected on the basis of marks, but after the new appointment rules were passed in the Cabinet, the appointment process for all 10,101 posts has been canceled for the time being.
