“The flagship killers 2.0” in the face of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, as promised by the Chinese brand, should be officially presented on May 28. Redmi, owned by Xiaomi, has previously reported that the K20 will be equipped with a display without cutouts. Now the Chinese company has confirmed that the device will receive an AMOLED screen with a built-in 7th generation fingerprint scanner - better than in Xiaomi Mi 9.

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing said that the fingerprint sensor will be optical, with a pixel size of 7.2 μm (the photosensitive area is 100% larger than its predecessor). The fingerprint scanning area has also been increased by 15% compared with the Mi 9 sensor.

But that's not all - the alleged images of the Redmi K20 leaked onto the Web, which allow us to evaluate the design of the device from the front. The images show that the Redmi K20 will get a big screen without cutouts, framed by thin frames. The size of the "chin" looks an asymmetrical upper edge. In the photo, you can see the volume control on the right side and the power key below it. On the left side, there is a special button to call the personal assistant Xiao Ai. Unfortunately, there are no images of the back of the phone.

Previous reports and leaks have shown that the Redmi K20 will be equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of Full HD +. It is expected that the smartphone will receive a 20-megapixel retractable front camera, and the rear will include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture. The device supports the slow-motion shooting of 960 frames per second.

Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are reportedly certified in China. It looks like the Redmi K20 will come with support for high-speed 18-watt charging, while the Pro version will offer a 27-watt one. The Redmi K20 is expected to rely on the Snapdragon 730 single-chip system and enter the market outside of China under the name Xiaomi Mi 9T. In this case, the Redmi K20 Pro should receive a powerful mobile platform Snapdragon 855 and will be released outside of China under the name Pocophone F2.

It is expected that both devices Redmi K20 will have up to 8 GB of RAM and built-in flash memory with a capacity of 128 GB. Information about the price of these smartphones is not. Supposedly, they will come in black, blue and red colors.
