NEW DELHI:  The National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has advised that the gap between the second Covid-19 vaccination and the booster dosage be reduced.

According to a source, the apex advisory council on immunisation has proposed that the gap between two Covid-19 vaccine booster doses for adults be decreased from nine to six months, and the Health Ministry would be notified soon.

The panel also looked at data on the Covaxin and Corbevax vaccines for kids aged 6 to 12.

At this time, anyone above the age of 18 who has waited nine months after receiving the second dose is eligible for the prophylactic dose. Those travelling overseas, on the other hand, may be given an exception based on the requirements of the country they are visiting.

On April 8, the Union Health Ministry announced that beginning April 10, all adults aged 18 and up will be eligible for Covid vaccine booster doses at private vaccination centres.

There will be restrictions again! After the increase in corona cases, the Health Minister gave this big statement
