Home Minister on reservation issue in promotions: 'Government will take care of employee interests...'

Bhopal: After the decision of the Supreme Court on Friday regarding the reservation case in promotion, the state government has started making its plan even before the scheme of employees' organizations. After putting the ball in the court of the government at the Center in the Supreme Court's decision regarding reservation in the promotion of SC/ST category officers, the Shivraj government of MP is taking steps.

Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra, the spokesperson of the state government, said on Friday that we welcome the supreme court's decision and are consulting legal experts on the decision. Mishra also said that the state government will take care of the interests of the employees. The government is with the employees. On the other hand, the next meeting of the Group of Ministers constituted on a reservation in promotions is scheduled to be held in the ministry on February 2. The meeting is expected to discuss the next step of the Government after the Supreme Court's decision. The employees' organisations have also started putting pressure on the government after the court's decision.

Ajax General Secretary SL Suryavanshi said that the Supreme Court has decided that the government should fix the level of reservation in promotions. The Constitution also speaks here. This scale is fixed first. A final decision on this will be taken at the hearing from February 24. Suryavanshi said that the second Supreme Court has also asked the government to decide in how many years the review of the reservation should be done, which the government has already been deciding. According to the cadre, there should be data. The government has prepared the data and filed it in the Supreme Court. Our plan is that we will prove in court that the Promotion Rules 2002 are correct. Suryavanshi said that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that reservation will continue in every situation.
