New Delhi: Today is the 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM 2021) of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the country's most valuable company and led by Mukesh Ambani. The meeting is likely to announce a deal with Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company. The company may also launch its first 5G smartphone during this period. Reliance shares open marginally lower on BSE ahead of AGM. It started at 2214.80.

A report by brokerage HSBC Global Research said, "Reliance's annual general meeting has historically attracted public attention. Earlier, when the meeting was held face-to-face, up to 3,000 shareholders have participated in the meeting" During the epidemic, three lakh people from 468 cities in 42 countries of the world attended a virtual meeting last year. Over the past one year, reliance industries has added many new investors to digital and retail subsidiaries.

Reliance Industries has entered into new partnerships with several international companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Qualcomm. These investors are hoping that new directions may be announced for the business of subsidiaries at AGM.
