Reliance BP Mobility Limited and Swiggy have chalked out a strategy to deploy electric vehicles for food delivery platforms. The company has participated with Swiggy for the same. The partnership on the basis of trial basis is aimed at promoting battery-operated electric vehicles to be adopted. It also includes the deployment of electric two-wheelers which also support the battery swap station of the Jio BP network and the network of delivery partners of Swiggy.
The same RBML will set up Jio-BP battery swapping stations at different locations with the help of Swiggy and provide all necessary technical help and training to Swiggy Delivery Partners and other employees. Harish C Mehta, CEO, Reliance BP Mobility Limited said that RBML is setting up a strong and sustainable infrastructure including EV charging hubs and battery swapping stations.
They provide digitally-enabled services to all stakeholders. Our help with Swiggy has the potential to bring in disruption and increase the adoption of EVs among distribution and transport companies in the country. RBML said delivery fleets with the help of innovative business models will provide green and low-cost solutions. Swiggy's chief executive Sriharsha Majety said Swiggy delivers millions of orders a month. Our partners travel 80 to 100 kilometers per day on average.
