Reliance Jio Platform Limited with an American technology firm Qualcomm Technologies Inc. did a successful test of 5G technology. Most 1Gbps speeds were achieved during this trial. It was announced at a virtual ceremony held in San Diego, USA. Matthew Oman, president of Reliance Jio Infocomm, said at the Qualcomm event that successful trials of 5G technology reflected fast track development and rollout of indigenous 5G network infrastructure and service in India. Madhu said that together with Qualcomm and Reliance's Subsidiary Radisys, we are working on 5G technology so that 5G technology can be introduced in the country soon.
Reliance Jio chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the development of 5G technology in the general meeting of July 15, about three months ago. Ambani had said that as soon as 5G spectrum is received in the country, testing of 5G technology will start in India by Reliance Jio. After a successful trial of 5G technology from Jio, its export was announced. At present, the spectrum is not available for testing 5G technology in the country. Jio has done a successful trial of 5G technology in America. According to the company, Jio's 5G technology proves to be true on all parameters. On this occasion, Qualcomm Deputy President Durga Malladi said that together with Jio, we are preparing a variety of great solutions.
Due to COVID-19, most of the countries of the world have banned Chinese company Huawei. Huawei is a Chinese company developing 5G technology but Jio believes that after a successful trial of 5G technology, now Reliance Jio can replace Chinese company Huawei in the global market including India.
