Reliance tops Hurun's list of Top Cos, Adani value drops 52%

According to Hurun India's '2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500', Reliance Industries Limited is the most valued private sector firm among the top 500 corporations in India.

Reliance Industries is the most valuable firm in India with a value of Rs 16.3 lakh crore, followed by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) with a value of Rs 11.8 lakh crore and HDFC Bank with a value of Rs 9.4 lakh crore.  With a remarkable 213 percent increase, Jindal Stainless was the biggest gainer in terms of percentage growth.

According to Hurun India's '2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500', Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited is the most valued private sector firm among the top 500 corporations in India. Reliance Industries topped the list of most valuable companies in India, according to the list, which was published on Tuesday. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) came in second with a value of Rs 11.8 lakh crore, and HDFC Bank came in third with Rs 9.4 lakh crore.

With respective values of Rs 17.3 lakh crore, Rs 11.6 lakh crore, and Rs 8.3 lakh crore, the top 3 companies in 2022 were HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, and Reliance Industries. The greatest winners in terms of absolute value were Housing Development Finance Corporation, ITC, and HDFC Bank.

Eight Adani Group companies saw their value drop by 52%, or Rs 10,25,955 crore, as a result of the damning Hindenburg report, compared to a drop of just 6% for the top 500 companies. Currently, the companies are valued at a total of Rs 9.5 lakh crore, or 4.5% of the value of the 500 largest corporations.
As per the report, as of October 30, 2022, the valuation of the top 500 firms in India according to the Burgundy Private and Hurun India list declined slightly by 6.4% to Rs 212 lakh crore from Rs 227 lakh billion.

 Reliance Industries' valuation fell by 5.1%, or Rs 87,731 crore, over the previous six months. While HDFC Bank's worth climbed by 12.9% and TCS's overall value only little by 0.7%.
The Group Adani: During the time under review, the Gautam Adani-led Adani Enterprises and Adani Total Gas dropped out of the top 10 of Hurun India's "2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500."

By April 30, Adani Total Gas had lost 73.8% of its value, or Rs 2,92,511 crore, and was now only worth Rs 1,03,734 crore.

Adani Transmission experienced a decline of 69.2% (Rs 2,58,493 crore), while Adani Green Energy experienced a decline of 54.7 (Rs 1,82,306 crore).

The top eight companies in the Adani Group, with a combined value of Rs 9.5 lakh crore as of April 30, account for 4.5% of the value of the 500 largest corporations. Comparatively to the top 500 companies, the Adani Group companies saw a value reduction of 52%, or Rs 10,25,955 crore, over the study period.
