Shafi Inamdar, who played one of the best roles in Bollywood, passed away on 13 March 1996. He has been one of the few actors in the film industry who never played a main character but gained a lot of popularity by playing a side role. He worked in the film industry for almost two decades and apart from films, he has also appeared in the TV industry.

Shafi Inamdar  started his film career with the film Vijeta and continued it in Ardh Satya. He acted in a number of television serials including Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. Shafi married actress Bhakti Barve. He died on 13 March 1996.

Shafi’s most notable film roles include the inspector in Aaj Ki Awaz, the villain in Awam (film) and the friend of the hero in films like Nazrana, Anokha Rishta, and Amrit. Some of his other films are Kudrat Ka Kanoon, Jurm, Sadaa Suhagan and Love 86, all successful films.

Shafi Inamdar is definitely remembered as a brilliant actor and even today he lives in millions of hearts. All of you must have seen him in most of the supporting roles which he played brilliantly. At that time, his acting and dialogue delivery used to be so beautiful that even in small scenes, he used to go ahead in attracting people's attention towards him. He worked in films like Jurm, Izzatdar, Phool Bhare Angare, Krantiveer, Yashwant, Akele Hum Akele Tum and he worked with Nana Patekar in Yashwant film and this film proved to be the last film of his career.

Not only this, if we talk about the small screen, then he played the main character in the TV program named Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. At that time his show was a big hit and apart from this he was also seen playing an important role in Gulzar's serial Ghalib. Let us tell you that he died on March 13, 1996 at the age of 50.
