London: While the efforts like lockdown implemented to deal with the Corona epidemic are showing positive effects, they also have a negative aspect. The lockdown has forced people to remain imprisoned in their homes, and its effect is also visible on their family relations. Recently a report was revealed which told about the increasing cases of domestic violence at the time of lockdown in India.

From March 9 to April 19 in London, at least 4,093 people have been arrested for domestic violence, that is, on an average, 100 people are arrested in a day. According to the Metropolitan Police, there has been a spurt in domestic violence cases compared to last year. One of the main reasons for this is to keep people with symptoms of corona in self-isolation in homes. It has increased by almost 24 percent since March 9, which is definitely a matter of concern.

On giving information, the police said that the domestic violence cases resulting from family feud have also increased by 3% compared to the previous year and there has been an increase of 9% from March 9 to April 19. Such cases are not recorded as crimes. The police has to deal with cases related to domestic violence every day.
