Today, President of Brazil, Jair Messius Bolsonaro, has been welcomed as the Chief Guest of the Republic Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present on the occasion. Earlier, he had met Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. After the formal reception in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President of Brazil will also hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. It is believed that in this meeting there can be agreement between the two countries on trade, military and health services.

On Friday, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro arrived in India on his four-day visit. He will take part in the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. This is Bolsonaro's first visit to India after assuming the office of President of Brazil. He has reached Delhi with eight ministers, top officials and a large business delegation. During this time 15 agreements between India and Brazil will be signed. Let us know that at the 11th BRICS Summit, PM Modi invited Bolsonaro for the Republic Day celebrations, which he accepted. During the visit of Bolsonaro, India-Brazil multifaceted relations are expected to grow and strengthen.

At the same time, in 2016, Brazilian President Michel Temer came to India to attend the 8th BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit held in Goa. Bolsonaro's visit to India is expected to heat up relations between the two countries. Brazilian Ambassador to India André Aranha Correa do Lago said that the President is excited about the visit to India. Their focus will be on strengthening the mutual relations between the two countries in the energy, agriculture and defense sectors.
