New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh's tableau has been adjudged the best state tableau during the Republic Day parade, while Maharashtra's tableau has topped in the Popular Choice category. With this, CISF has been selected as the best marching team. The Ministry of Defence has given information in this regard on Friday. The Defence Ministry said the Indian Navy has been selected as the best marching contingent among the services. 

At the same time, in the popular choice category, the Indian Air Force has won. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Civil Aviation have become the joint winners. Let us tell you that, during the parade held on the 73rd Republic Day of the country, the grand 'flypast' of 75 aircraft was the main centre of attraction to celebrate the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. During the parade, the country's military might and vibrant cultural heritage were proudly showcased at Rajpath. However, due to the Corona epidemic, this year's Republic Day celebrations have not been organized on a much wider scale as it has been in normal years.

The Indian Army displayed the main weapons and equipment such as centurion tanks, PT-76 tanks, 75/24 pack howitzers and OT-62 Topaz armoured vehicles at the Republic Day parade, which played a key role in washing Pakistan into the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
