New Delhi: Mumbai Police has arrested Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami of Republic TV on Wednesday morning. According to the news agency PTI, the Mumbai Police said that Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, has been arrested for allegedly inciting the interior designer to commit suicide. It is known that the Mumbai Police reached Arnab's house in the morning and here the police tried to take him into custody. There has also been news of bullying with Arnab.

According to news agency ANI, Republic TV has shared the footage on its channel, in which the Mumbai Police is seen entering Arnab's house and forcing him inside the house. ANI has also shared some screenshots, in which it can be seen that a police officer is holding and pulling Arnab's hand. Arnab Goswami says that the police have forced him.

Arnab Goswami's channel is already facing allegations of fraud in TRP rating. The Mumbai Police had filed a case in this matter last month, in which investigation is being done. The Mumbai Police had said that Republic TV paid the audience to watch its channel. Police is also suspected of money laundering through advertisements. In this case, summons has been issued to many top officials of the Republic and many people have been questioned.
