Bhopal: Peaceful voting continues for the by-elections in 28 assembly constituencies in 19 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Till 1 pm, 42.71 percent voting has been registered. Voting time has been fixed till 6 pm. The highest voting was held in Suwasra seat, with 56 percent voting. The relatively slow turnout in the Gwalior-Chambal region dominated by BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia. Apart from this, there has also been news related to minor violence from Bhind and Morena.

Voting is happening fast in other seats except Gwalior-Chambal. Voting has been done in Suvasara 56, 54 in Badnawar and 49 per cent in Saver. Similarly, in Sarkhi seat of Sagar, 46 percent voting has been done. Veterans like Jyotiraditya and Narendra Singh Tomar had also voted in the morning and urged people to cast their votes, but it is not showing much effect till noon. In the seats here, between 25-35 percent of the voting has taken place till one left.

The firing incident took place in Kaspura and Khaneta villages of Sumavali assembly seat in Morena district. A woman was shot in it. In Jaura, Bahubalis attempted to stop voting. It has been complained. The administration has acted immediately on it.
