Dehradun: The resentment among the people about reservation in promotion is increasing among the people who are constantly increasing. At the same time, many BJP MLAs have supported the Uttarakhand General OBC Employees Association, which has been agitating against reservation in promotion in Uttarakhand. From MLAs to village heads too, writing a letter to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in support of the movement.

According to the information received, the General OBC employees of the state have been on indefinite strike since March 2 to demand the removal of the ban on promotion. After BJP MLAs Umesh Sharma Kau, Ganesh Joshi, Mahendra Bhatt, Dalip Singh Rawat, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan on Friday, March 13, 2020, MLA Dewan Singh Bisht of Ramnagar also supported the movement on promotion from Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Urged to remove the ban. Tulanga Panchayat President Naveen Singh Rawat of Rudraprayag district has written a letter to the CM in support of the movement of General OBC employees and urged them to follow the orders of the Supreme Court. Along with this, Azad Manch, All India Brahmin Integration Council has supported the movement.

BJP state president appeals to employees to return to work: It has been learned that BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat has appealed to the strike workers to return to work citing the coronavirus infection and the budget session. He has assured that after the assembly budget session, the government will find a solution to the demands of the employees.
