New Delhi: Now soon all the government banks operating in the country will provide banking services at home to their customers. Senior citizens and handicapped will get the most benefit from this. In these services, customers will also be given the facility to deposit and withdraw money in the account at home. In fact, RBI had talked about starting the banking facility at home a few years ago, and now the banks have thought to do so through the common service provider. This service provider will have a call centre, website and a mobile app through which he will provide these services. UCO Bank will invite tender for this on behalf of all banks.

Issue of standing instruction
The service provider will appoint agents on its behalf, who will provide these facilities to the people at home. In the first phase, this facility will be available only to senior citizens and differently-abled people, after which it will be started for others with some charges. Banks will contract with the service provider for the first three years, which can be extended for another two years.
