New Delhi: A video of Umar Khalid in a charge sheet related to the riots in northeast Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is mentioned. It is reported that Umar Khalid was fully convinced of the conspiracy that the government would bow down and the CAA would be canceled. He said that after this, a campaign to abolish the National Population Register (NPR) will be waged.

The charge sheet says that Khalid Saifee played an important role in bringing Tahir and Umar Khalid closer. The charge sheet has been linked to the link between the three call detail records by virtue of them. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had suspended Tahir Hussain after he was named in the Delhi riots. Umar Khalid was fully convinced of the conspiracy that the government would bow down and the CAA would be withdrawn. Tahir Hussain and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) alumnus Umar Khalid came in contact through the WhatsApp group United against hate. This has come out of the supplementary charge sheet filed against Umar Khalid in connection with the violence in Khajuri special area.

The charge sheet has been explained in detail in connection with the conspiracy. According to this, Tahir Hussain was a fan of Umar Khalid's speeches. He listened to his speeches regularly. After the riot conspiracy during his meeting at Shaheenbagh, Umar Khalid had given 25,000 rupees as token money to Tahir Hussain to carry out his designs. It has also been reported that when the riots started on 24th February last year, Tahir phoned Umar Khalid and said that it had been started. Many houses have been burnt.
